Drive time north from the Auckland Harbour bridge approximately 70 minutes North to Warkworth.

At the second set of lights on the main road as you come into the Warkworth area, turn right.
This is a tricky intersection on the highway but look carefully for the signage to Matakana, Leigh, Omaha. Go through the roundabout at Matakana (do not turn left there).
Travel about 1 kilometer and turn right and right again at the next roundabout into Takatu Road. First road on the right is Whitmore Road, turn right. It's tar seal for 2 km and then metal. Drive until you reach more tar seal. Look for a two storied terra cotta toned house on your left. To the right of this house there are 3 driveways. Take the middle drive.
Look for a numbered "Private Road No Entry" sign. Drive to the end where you will see the OMAIO sign on the left.
